Whirlwind world

Lots has been going on since I last blogged... and in the same sense, not a whole lot. It's the same old things that I got tired of blogging before. The things that lead to boring posts and apathy on my part.

I'll break it down this way... Jill, work, and the same things I always blog about.

*nods*

BTW, I hate when a customer sees you're talking to or taking care of another customer and just starts talking to you overtop of the original customer. I find that incredibly rude! And I DO NOT respond to hand signals... I'm not a trained pet, I'm a human being!!!

Yeah... not much to say... *tries to think*

My baby came and had lunch with me today... I love her. You knew that though. *smirks* She may take the night off tomorrow. I hope she does. I love spending time with her and we don't get nearly enough time.

Oh yeah! I gotta remember to ask Seth if she can come to the rehearsal dinner. *makes note to self*

Anyway... it's about time for me to call it a night. Ya'll don't care and this post is so random that you probably didn't follow it anyway....

Please believe me my love and I'll show you
I will give you those things you thought unreal
The sun the moon the stars all bear my seal"

An extraordinary weekend

This weekend was amazing. I had to work on Saturday but after work I hooked up with Jill and came home. We just kinda chilled Saturday night, filled out some paperwork for the MS walk, watched some tv... *shrugs*

Sunday was the day of the walk. My sister and I delivered a surprise to our grandmother; we made her a team shirt. It was supposed to be rainy and yucky all day long but it cleared up nicely. We turned in $967 and we have some outstanding donations to round up yet. Hopefully we'll top a grand this year. One of our teammates didn't make it to the walk. She was quite pregnant and we haven't heard from her... so we hope all is well and we wish her all the best. After the walk we had a bit of a pizza party here at the house for most of the team and Jill and I took a nap. Sunday night Jill and I watched the Law & Order: SVU marathon and then we went to her house and continued watching the marathon.

I came home today and developed the pictures from the walk and just kinda chilled. We ordered out for supper and watched some tv. *shrugs* Anyway.... I'll post links to the pics and call it an evening. Good night and good luck. ;-)

A message from our sponsors

The MS walk is this Sunday, tonight Dawn and I were getting parts of our team shirts around. A friend of Dawn's put together a couple of beautiful designs for us. We cannot thank him nearly enough for his time or attention to detail... We can, however, let you know of him. This is some of his work and he'd be pleased to hear from you.

Not much of an update

I don't have much to say... I have no witty commentaries to post, no real news to share and nothing much of significance so I think I'm just gonna post a pic and hope that in a coupla days I have something to say....
:-p

Happy Easter

LUKE 24

1)Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them.

2)And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre.

3)And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus.

4)And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments:

5)And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead?

6)He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee,

7)Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

8)And they remembered his words,

9)And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest.

10)It was Mary Magdalene and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles.

11)And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.

12)Then arose Peter, and ran unto the sepulchre; and stooping down, he beheld the linen clothes laid by themselves, and departed, wondering in himself at that which was come to pass.

13)And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.

14)And they talked together of all these things which had happened.

15)And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.

16)But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.

17)And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?

18)And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?

19)And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:

20)And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.

21But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.

22)Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;

23)And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.

24)And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.

25)Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:

26)Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

27)And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.

28)And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.

29)But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.

30)And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.

31)And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

32)And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures?

33)And they rose up the same hour, and returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and them that were with them,

34)Saying, The Lord is risen indeed, and hath appeared to Simon.

35)And they told what things were done in the way, and how he was known of them in breaking of bread.

36)And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

37)But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.

38)And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts?

39)Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

40)And when he had thus spoken, he shewed them his hands and his feet.

41)And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?

42)And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.

43)And he took it, and did eat before them.

44)And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

45)Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

46)And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

47)And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

48)And ye are witnesses of these things.

49)And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

50)And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.

51)And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.

52)And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:

53)And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

I don't have a whole lot else to add... Things in my life have been absolutely wonderful. Friday I just kinda chilled. Saturday Jill and I went to my family's easter gathering and enjoyed a beautiful spring day together. And today we went to her family's Easter gathering. I have one more day off and I plan on just spending some time with my family.

Some Assembly Required

Some assembly required.... translated that means "Headache Guaranteed" Oh yeah! I'm a busy little scoundrel but I need a break and so I thought I'd regale you with what's been going on even though I'm sure you couldn't care less. :-p So sit back, shut up and listen or I'll talk twice as long because I hafta speak overtop of you to make sure you heard my idiocy!

I just got done fixing my mom's closet and building her new bike. Her closet collapsed for the second time in this house.... Why??? Because she has a serious clothes fetish that makes Mariah Carey look like a vagabond. *shakes head* Seriously does she really need enough clothes in her closet to clothe a small army? Though I'm not sure why any army would dress in my mom's clothes... *ponders* And do me a favor...if you get a bike, buy one that's already assembled. That way if it falls apart you can blame the store and not a family member. Ok? Thanks!

What else am I up to? I've got to do a bunch more pics for Jill, get supper started, get together my stuff for Jill's Easter present because she's coming down tonight, and I probably should get myself cleaned up because from working I'm a widdle dirty. *angelic face*

What's gone on since I last updated? Ummm... I got measured for my tuxedo for Seth's upcoming nuptuals, played some basketball, defended my new shoes and I've been working with stupid people of course and that's about it. Let me tell you though that that's more than enough.

Stupid People 101: Class is in session.

Customer: "Do you sell cell phone batteries?"
Me: "What type of phone do you have?"
Customer: "Verizon"
Me: "Do you have your phone?"
*customer hands me her phone and I look at it*
Me: "Your phone is an LG and I'm sorry we don't carry the batteries for those."
*customer walks away and I roll my eyes*

Saying that you have a verizon cell phone is like if I'd ask you what type of computer you have and you telling me that you have an AOL computer or a Netscape one... that's your service provider not who manufactured your computer!!!!

I also love the customers who ask if we have and then they don't know what they want... they describe it as "this thing that takes three plugs and turns it into one round plug that plugs into the thing and makes it work" You got all that? If you figured out that it's an RF modulator you've been working in retail as long as I have and we need help!!! *bursts into tears*

How about this one? Customer walks into the department walks through every aisle but one, finds you and asks... "Do you have phones?" "Yes, in the only aisle you didn't seem to want to bother with."

Or how about? Customer walks into the department sees I'm busy with another customer and instead of taking a minute to look for what they want, asks the people in the photo lab where EVERY ITEM ON THEIR SHOPPING LIST is. Yes, we here at wal-mart have nothing to do but be your personal shopper... we'll ignore every other customer in the store to make your life easier!

Ok... I'm all better now. Or not. *shrugs*

By the way... My body hates me. I played basketball for a couple of hours the other day and I think every muscle and tendon in my body went on strike afterwards. They are not used to that sort of work and wanted more pay or something.

Anyway... Now i'm just rambling and I haven't even really told you about getting measured for my tux. *chuckles* Fun experience but I don't feel like typing anymore. Besides I have to get back to all my stuff to do.

I'm out!

Scoundrel found... Details at eleven!

And so dear friends, it is with a warm and open heart I welcome you to this kinda new and not so improved version of my blog... all the dust is vintage to give this place a period feel and the decor hasn't changed since I last changed my underwear. I had a flood of emails and comments about me not blogging anymore... ok so I had three. *rolls eyes* Whatever! Aaaaannnyyyyyway!!! I didn't mean that I wasn't gonna blog anymore ever... just that I was outta it right then.

What's been happening? Lotsa things. What do you care about? Probably not most of it. Do you wanna hear about it anyway? I doubt it! General synopsis is this... work, sleep, Jill, basketball, new shoes, new dvd player, Jill, work, sleep, shop a little, work, sleep, Jill and a pizza. *nods* Yeah, that about covers it.

I've got things to do... Just can't really find the motivation for them. If you've seen my motivation, don't disturb it, I think it's either broken or badly bent or something. *shrugs*

Yeah, life's about the same as always... at elast some things can be counted on... death, taxes, boredom, that fruitcake that no one eats at Christmas and grandmother's giving socks as gifts.

Alright... I hope I was at least mildly entertaing if not downright amusing. Gotta get some zest and zing back into this blog... it's been so apathetic for so long that I don't know if it can handle fun anymore.

I'm outtie for now. More stupidity to follow at some point I'm sure!

Home is wherever you make it

Ok... so here it is. Worked last night until eleven and then I went to Jill's. Of course before I got there she had a call and wasn't around when I got there. This is what happens when you get involved with an EMT/Firefighter. Got up and took her car to get tires and an alignment and we got breakfast. Then we hung at her place for a while and took a nap. I came home and she went to bingo and then off to work tonight. I'm not gonna complain about our schedules, I do that enough and as it's been pointed out many times, I need to appreciate the time we have together and stop worrying about the time we're apart as much as it sucks.

Been working on the MS walk and fundraising. We've gotta go big time this year. With twice as many team members we need to majorly surpass the last coupla years.

I pretty much have lost the will to blog... and the ideas I had for doing so. *nods* Perhaps I'll just post a few other things here and then call it quits.

Ponderings, proposals and prophylactics???

Alright... I guess we'll perhaps take those things in order. *chuckles* Maybe not... we'll see how this plays out.

Nothing too noteworthy going on with me. Busy with all the usual mindnumbing things that make up real life... and of course the wonderful and sensational, shining star of my life, Jill. Ya'll already know all that. I don't even know why I bother to put it into every blog.

The other day when we were making sandwiches and getting things ready to deliver them, my sister and I were talking. The conversation rolled around to Jill and I and our plans to move in together. My sister shook her head and said that if I'm going to do that, then I'd better be getting around to asking her to marry me. *chuckles* The same day, later that afternoon, Jill tells me that her aunt dreamed that Jill was pregnant. Jill's mom would be sooo ecstatic about that... my mom would soooo flip out if that were the case without Jill and I being married. As a matter of fact, Seth read my last blog entry and thought perhaps I was asking Jill to marry me soon... *grins* I assure you all, sometime, but not now, not yet...

Now... You all know that I work at the evil empire. We have our regulars whom we all know. We have the Russian guy who is clueless but thinks he's God's gift, we have "Little Hitler", we have Johnny Angel who practically lives in the store and the list goes on and on... Well there is this young man who happens to be mentally challenged. His name is Joey. In short, he's an annoyance. We all put up with him the best we can and he loves all of us it would seem. Today he was in the store causing his usual trouble... making a mess of things, screaming across the department, sucking his thumb, slapping you on the back and etc. Now Joey's mom is remarried to a colored gentleman and Joey has taken a liking to urban culture and things. So amongst all this today Joey was wearing a hat that just looked like a condom on the top of his head. It was the oddest sight to see this guy doing the things he was with this hat on his head looking for all the world like some condom commercial... "For your protection..." (by the way, this last part of the blog is for Seth whom I'm sure is on his floor laughing because he saw it too and it just loses something if you hadn't seen it)

I'm slightly torn... Jill is off work Monday night, I work 2-11 Mon. Tuesday I'm off and I have plans to play ball with the guys at ten in the morning... Now if I get up and leave Jill, I probably won't see her again for a while because of our schedules. That just sucks. I wanna play ball but I wanna be with my baby. I have heard that it might rain Tues and that would just solve my dilemma because we aren't gonna play in the rain. Oh well, we'll just wait and see what happens.

I'm outtie!

Pondering a proposed penning of prose

I have not had an update lately that I've been particularly proud of. I've been either very short with my updates or just drily reporting the events of the last few days. I find myself searching the depths of my mind for ways and topics to post a lengthy and hopefully marginally entertaining update but I seem to coming up empty. Perhaps it's all the writing I've been doing for the MS walk. *shrugs* Or it could just be that I'm not that entertaining with fun things to say. Either way, I fear this update will be just as entertaining as watching the paint dry.

What have I been up to? Pretty much the same old things. Work, sleep, and LOTS and LOTS of Jill. Amongst those I've been working on the MS walk, pics for Jill, and just kinda relaxing. Reading my book and etc.

Yeah... See? What kind of update is that? Not much of one. *shakes head* I truly think I've lost any sort of sense of humor or writing skill that I once may have posessed. I'm so ashamed. Why are you still reading this? This is drivel and not even good drivel.

I do have some plans upcoming. Tuesday I'm gonna play basketball with the guys, Wednesday is inventory at the store, and Friday I'm taking Jill to the oral surgeon. Yeah... stuff you really care about, right?

Yeah... you shoulda quit reading a LONG time ago. You're so bored now that you're probably just scrolling and wondering how long this can possibly go on. I'll give you a hint... It'll all be over soon... very soon.
