News or Not

So yeah... I'm updating or something like it. Ya'll know my life by now. I'm far from intriguing. I'm not even boring enough to be intriguing. Some people just by their sheer boringness are kinda intriguing but I'm not one of them. *shrugs*

Anyway... Lessee what I can tell you about. *ponders* I'm getting a new cell phone. The LG VX8300 and I'm changing my calling plan... Not that you really care. And besides, with what little I use my celly, the plan doesn't really matter.

I got a haircut... really short this time around. With all the heat lately I couldn't stand it, so I got it chopped. I've had more compliments than usual so I may keep it this way. The only person who said anything negative was my mom. But she's really the reason I keep my hair short anyway. *shrugs* She likes me better looking like a hippie.

I went out Sat. night with Jill and Elenita. El's a chick from the store. Jillian and her were always friends and I like El. We had a nice time. Went to see Clerks 2 and out to supper at Friday's. Had a real nice time. Gotta do it again sometime soon.

I've been told that I'm incorrigible, persistant, disobedient, and paranoid... but I'm loveable! :-D Hey, whatever! I'm the original scoundrel, baby!

I could go on about some other things that no one would really care about... Like finding a condom in Jill's driveway, but I won't. *chuckles* I'll let ya'll wonder about that one and go to watch a movie. I gotta get some sleep anyway, I gotta stinking work in the morn.

*grins* Oh and btw, Only 11 more days until Jill and I are on vacation!!!

I've gone to the beach, got sunburned, finished the book I was reading, scanned a ton of pics and that's about it. I have gotten to see Jill a coupla times which is ALWAYS wonderful!

Jill is off this coming weekend... I'm off Sat and work 2-11 Sun. I know Jill and Stacey were talking about going out... Stacey mentioned a double date idea... I dunno what's happening for sure. *shrugs* I'm just hoping I get to spend some time with my honey.

Yeah... I'm real exciting. I haven't updated in forever and when I finally get around to it, I don't have much to say. *shrugs* Oh well!

Amazing Weekend

Wow! I've just had the best weekend that I can recall. It's been everything I needed to rekindle the flame in my soul. I got to spend it with my Jillian. *grins*

Saturday I helped Seth and Vanessa move into their new home. Seth called me and I went to his mom and dad's about eleven in the morn. I helped pack and move things over to their new place and got the grand tour. Then in the evening I went to Jill's and we went to the Lycoming County fair. Her cousins were in the figure eight races. Had a nice evening at the fair and then we chilled at Mark's house the rest of the evening.

Sunday Jill and I went to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2. *smirks* She was slightly upset by the way it ended... Gotta say that I was kinda disappointed too. The movie is awesome but I really wanna see the third one now! We hung at Mark's again Sunday night and then we went swimming in the dark. *smiles* Just all in all a good time.

Yeah! A great weekend!

Now I'm gonna go... I've got an itch to play some DoD and read some of my book. Besides, I'm gonna hang with mom tomorrow. I've not spent a whole lotta time with her lately.

You all know that I get introspective at times. I got to thinking what life really is. Not why we are here or what it is we're supposed to be doing... but what defines a life. Everyone has a lifetime but did they really live it?

To some, seeking the meaning of life is what living is. Once they know why they are here, then they go about fulfilling that destiny.

To others, seeking happiness, theirs and those around them, is what life is. To them, more joy than pain is a life well lived.

Still to others, life is an endless series of questions without enough answers.

I've come to believe that all of these are wrong... and right. Yes, we all have a purpose in this life, things we were put here to do. Yes, we all should seek to bring happiness to our lives and the lives of those around us. And yes, life does have more questions than answers. But above all that, I think life is about love. The love of family, friends, that special someone and the love of enjoying the moment and the small things. Without these things it's not worth getting outta bed. Think about it... when tough times hit, where do you turn? You turn to the people and the things you love. Just as a kid who skins his knee runs to Mom, we turn to the loves in our lives. There is always that someone who can lift your spirits, or that project that eases your mind. These are what life is. Life is love and love is life.

On the Scoundrel front

There are no major news stories to report. So we'll go with the minor ones.

Not a whole lot has been happening the last... well, forever actually. It's all been the same old monotonous day to day living that makes a life. You know what? That's kinda cool though. No drama going on so that's a good thing. Peaceful is awesome!

So what have I been filling my hours and days with? Work, Jill, sleep, video games... the usual. I did read Dark Lord; The Rise of Darth Vader. Pretty good book. I'm all set to start Betrayal. I know... I'm jumping all over the timeline but it's all good.

I work the next two days and then I'm off for four. I'm planning on helping Seth and Vanessa move on Sat. and then Jill and I are going to the figure eight races Sat. evening. I plan on spending all weekend with her. It'll be soooo great. Of course I do get to see her tonight so... *grins*

I set up a myspace page. I dunno why. I doubt I'll ever actually really use it. This is really the only website I need or plan on using. It's served me well for such a long time and will continue to meet my limited needs adequately. However, if you want to check out my page here it is.

Suppose I should update

I haven't actually updated in a few days. *shrugs* Nothing to say in particular.

I'm working a new job at work for a few weeks.... Not really loving it but I can handle anything for a short period of time.

Jill and I's anniversary is in a few days... I'm looking forward to it. To be honest, I'm hoping that it's a very memorable night for her... She has made my life so wonderful and I want only to repay her a bit.

Yeah... I've pretty much lost the will to blog.

Perhaps I'll just go read a book... I'm outtie!
