Veritas - Iustitia - Libertas

I haven't blogged in ages again... I have so much to catch up on!

Jill and I had our anniversary back on 7/7/07... some would say the luckiest day ever. *shrugs* I think I got lucky two years before when she and I finally got together. *chuckles* We went for a nice dinner together and just enjoyed each other's company.

We went to Harrisburg/Hershey over this past weekend as our anniversary gift to each other. We stayed away for the weekend and went to the Daughtry/Staind/Nickelback concert. Had a pretty decent time. We enjoyed the show even with fights and people passing out all around us. The only major issue we faced was the traffic and we had an incident at the hotel with our room not getting made up and our food being stolen.

Jill and I are heading to the Benton rodeo tomorrow evening. Should be a good time. Jill has never been to a rodeo so this could be interesting. ;-)

In other news... My sister has filed paperwork and begun proceedings to get her idiot husband out of her life. I'll say nothing more about it other than it's about time and I'm glad.

While I was at her house last night, I heard sirens and went outside to find that a neighbor's kid was struck by a car. The child was playing outside on the road with no supervision and got hit. Sadly, the child did not survive the accident. It was an experience to see this all happen just up the road from my sister's place.

Now... I leave you with some lyrics for my sister.

"Father's a name you haven't earned yet
You're just a child with a temper
Haven't you heard "Don't hit a lady"?
Kickin' your ass would be a pleasure"

-- Nickelback

"Black eyes, I don't need 'em
Blue tears, gimme freedom
Positively never goin' back
I won't live where things are so out of whack
No more rollin' with the punches
No more usin' or abusin'

I'd rather die standing
Than live on my knees
Begging please-no more

Black eyes-I don't need 'em
Blue tears-gimme freedom
Black eyes-all behind me
Blue tears'll never find me now"

-- Shania Twain
